On  Dec. 22, 2020 A shortened 2020-21 NBA season begins with a doubleheader — Warriors vs. Nets and Clippers vs. Lakers — to begin a 72-game season. The coronavirus pandemic of 2020 caused the season to start later than its typical mid-October start.
